Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church
29125 Six Mile Road
Livonia, MI 48152

We have been invited by Fr. Joseph Marquis, pastor of Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church, to view and venerate 100+ relics housed within their Sacred Shrine. Father will shed light upon the lives of holy men and women and bless us with the relics encased around the altar. St. Polycarp, Bishop and Martyr (c. 155 A.D.) attests that honoring the saints has been practiced since the very dawn of Christianity. Discover for yourself why the saints' remains were thought "more precious than costliest diamonds." (St. Polycarp)

Among the relics are: fragments of the True Cross; St. Ann, grandmother of Jesus; St. Joseph, spouse of Mary; stone fragment from Mary's Holy Sepulchre; St. John the Baptist; St. Polycarp; the Twelve Apostles; modern saints relics (St. Bernadette Soubiroux, St. Therese of Lisieux, and Pope Saint John Paul II the Great), plus countless others. In addition, there are two authenticated coins featuring images of Constantine the Great and his mother, St. Helena. (c. 325-300 A.D.)

Tentative Schedule:
8:15 Registration
9:00 Holy Mass
Followed by refreshments and a presentation on the Shrine and Holy Relics
End Approx. 1:30 PM

$15 Registration (please register in advance if at all possible)
